As shared touch surfaces become more and more common, so does their ability to spread multiple kinds of viruses, bacterium, or other disease-causing agents that can survive long enough on these surfaces. Studies have shown that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can travel in aerosols, landing on surfaces where it can be picked up by others and deep learning based image analysis is critical to making these results accessible to the general public in a wide variety of situations

In this line of work, we collaborate with our biointerface to extract relevant information and detect contamination levels. Our preliminary results show that the adversarial angle doesn't impact the ResNet50 network's ability to detect surface cleanliness.
